These wedding rings were created as a surprise for my (now) wife. When planning to propose, I knew she didn’t care for expensive, flashy jewelry. Instead, I decided to try to craft our own one-of-a-kind rings.

I started with stainless steel hex nuts and, using a multitude of the wrong tools, sanded them into the desired dimensions. I then carved a groove down the middle and inlaid wood veneer. To keep the rings safe, I created a small ring box out of sapele wood, with ring posts, and flocked the interior.
